The Foreign Trade Chamber (CAMEX) updated the list of auto-parts not produced domestically that are subject to a reduced 2% import tariff rate under the “ex-tariff” regime. Furthermore, CAMEX also updated the list of auto-parts not produced domestically that are exempt of import tariffs under the Rota 2030 program.
The Foreign Trade Chamber (CAMEX), through GECEX Resolution n. 228/2021, updated the list of auto-parts not domestically produced under GECEX Resolution n. 23/2019, comprised of auto-parts treated as the “ex-tariff” regime, being subject to a reduced 2% import tariff rate. Those auto-parts are categorized as general auto-parts destined for production, or as capital goods (BK) or computer and telecommunications goods (BIT). The update included 274 auto-parts within 110 Mercosur Nomenclature Codes (NCM) to that list of auto-parts not domestically produced, and excluded another six products within five NCM codes.
Furthermore, CAMEX enacted GECEX Resolution n. 227/2021, updating the list of auto-parts not produced domestically under GECEX Resolution n. 102/2018, which are exempt of import duties, ruling the dispositions of Decree n. 9.557/2018 and Law n. 13.755/2018 – Rota 2030 program. The new resolution excluded two products within one NCM code.
