The Foreign Trade Chamber (CAMEX) at the Ministry of Economy updated the list of auto-parts not produced domestically that are subject to a reduced 2% import tariff rate under the “ex-tariff” regime. Furthermore, CAMEX updated the list of auto-parts not produced domestically that are exempt from import tariffs under the Rota 2030 program.



The Foreign Trade Chamber (CAMEX) at the Ministry of Economy, through GECEX Resolution n.º 259/2021, updated the list of auto-parts not domestically produced under GECEX Resolution n.º 23/2019, comprised of auto-parts covered in the “ex-tariff” regime, being subject to a reduced 2% import tariff rate. Those auto-parts are categorized as general auto-parts destined for production, or as capital goods (BK) or computer and telecommunications goods (BIT). The new resolution included 230 auto-parts within 89 Mercosur Nomenclature Codes (NCM) and excluded another 19 products (11 NCM codes).

Furthermore, CAMEX enacted GECEX Resolution n.º 258/2021, updating the list of auto-parts not produced domestically under GECEX Resolution n. 102/2018, ruling the dispositions of Decree n.º 9.557/2018 and Law n.º 13.755/2018 – Rota 2030 program. Auto-parts listed within the program are exempt from import tariffs. The new resolution excluded two products (two NCM codes).
