The Brazilian Electricity Regulatory Agency (ANEEL) revoked 361 normative acts in order to improve regulatory efficiency and comply with Decree n. 10.319/2019, which provided the consolidation of normative acts within the Federal Public Administration. ANEEL concluded its first phase of the simplification process.

Normative Resolution n. 897/2020 from the Brazilian Electricity Regulatory Agency (ANEEL) revoked 361 normative acts in order to reduce the regulatory stock, while improving its efficiency. In total, 122 valid normative acts and 239 normative acts without practical effects were revoked.

It concluded the first phase of ANEEL’s simplification process ruled by Ordinance n. 6.405/2020, which complies with Decree n. 10.319/2019. The consolidation of the regulatory stock improves legal certainty and public access to services, thus improving the regulatory efficiency.

The simplification process also resulted from Public Consultation n. 40/2020, whose results are listed in the normative resolution, and are also available here (in Portuguese).
