Normative instructions 71, 72, 73 and 74 introduced new rules for identity and quality standards for provolone cheeses, standard minas cheese, semi-cured minas cheese, cream cheese, ricotta and dairy dessert

Normative instructions 71, 72, 73 and 74 were released aiming to respond more quickly to requests for product registration and alteration. They determine mandatory information that should be displayed on the labels and the physical-chemical and microbiological requirements to produce those foods. From now on, such products may present Technical Identity and Quality Regulation (RTIQ) and can be registered automatically, without the need for prior evaluation by the Department of Inspection of Products of Animal Origin (Dipoa).

The instructions of the Secretariat for Agricultural Defense of the Ministry of Agriculture, Livestock and Supply (Mapa) come into force in September 2020.
